You’re pregnant. Yay! When baby’s on the way, there is so much to do: preparing the nursery, purchasing gear, visiting the OB regularly to make sure everything’s looking good. It’s easy for dental care to fall by the wayside during this busy time of your life.
But excellent oral hygiene at home and regular dental visits are more important than ever. Expectant mothers are at risk for a hormone-induced gum condition called pregnancy gingivitis. They also have to take care to follow a tooth-friendly diet, both for their own pearly whites and baby’s developing teeth.
